October meeting

guild1 guild3guild2guild4This month’s meeting is Thursday, October 8, 2015 at the Ulster Town Senior Center at 7pm (always the 2nd Thursday of the month).  Bring your wheel or drop spindle for a chance to win a door prize!

Next week, October 17-18, is one of our favorite events of each year: the New York State Sheep & Wool Festival. We will have our double booth as we do every year, in which we sell our handmade items and fiber supplies, and demonstrate spinning with wheels and drop spindles. If you are a member, you are requested to work a shift as a demonstrator. If you aren’t a member, please do stop by our booth to say hello, ask questions, or pick up something for yourself or as a gift!

At the October meeting we will be working out the volunteer schedule for the festival and discussing our plans.

Have you paid your annual dues yet for 2015? Please bring a check for $15 to become a member of the guild, receive our newsletter, and be in the loop of what’s happening in our fiber community.

Know of any interesting fiber-y articles, blogs, happenings? Please share, or forward to our newsletter editor Marilyn at Gaiascupboard@yahoo.com to have it included in our newsletter or here on the web.
